The new wave of young women using botox to prevent ageing

No longer the reserve of those wanting to turn back time, Botox and fillers are now being used to help with prevention.

After all, offence is the best defence. Celebrities such as Kylie Jenner have brought about a new sense of freedom amongst women to choose what treatments they would like, no longer feeling ashamed to undergo cosmetics procedures, more women are being open and honest about what measures they are using to take care of their skin.

This empowering trend has grown amongst YouTubers and beauty bloggers as more and more millennials turn to online beauty gurus for inspiration. For example, Jaclyn Hill, Tati and Chloe Morello have all been open about their love of Botox and lip fillers, whether to prevent the early signs of ageing in the form of fine lines or to add a bit of confidence in the form of the perfect pout. After all, makeup can only do so much.
More and more beauty vloggers are filming their beauty treatments, with The Sass being a YouTube programme dedicated to cosmetic procedures whether they are invasive or not. This is an empowering movement, designed to let women share their top tips on cosmetic procedures and say that it’s more than OK to have these procedures done.
The advice from these women is clear: make sure you are certain about any procedure before you have it done. Make sure to research any practitioners so that you get the safest experience possible. Starting small and building is the best way to achieve a more natural look.
Women in their early twenties are now not only using skincare to take care of their skin, but using procedures in small doses to help their skin stay plump and line free. No longer do we have to wait for the signs of ageing before adding Botox or fillers. It’s all about being as confident as possible and if ensuring your skin will stay younger for longer helps with that, then cosmetic procedures are an excellent long-term investment. What can a liquid facelift do for you?

Non-surgical facelifts are becoming increasingly popular within the UK, mainly thanks to the shorter recovery period and lack of pain compared to a more traditional facelift.

Chief among these is what is known as a liquid facelift. You may have heard of this procedure, but may not be totally clear on what it involves, which is where we can help.

What is a liquid facelift?

As part of the suite of non-surgical facial treatments, a liquid facelift will help reduce the signs of ageing as a traditional surgical facelift would. The real beauty of the liquid version is that, due to there being no surgery involved, the pain felt afterwards is reduced greatly.
People also like them as there isn’t a lengthy recovery time and you can be back on your feet or at work in no time. Another bonus for this type of non-surgical beauty treatment is that they are perfect if you just don’t fancy having surgery done at all.

How does a liquid facelift work?

When administering this type of treatment, approved relaxants and fillers are injected into the face with small needles. These will work with your face to help you look younger and improve any wrinkles as a normal facelift would. Sagging facial skin can also be targeted with this sort of procedure, and, for many people, this is the main benefit they take from it.

Common liquid facelift questions

There are a whole range of different questions around this non-surgical procedure that you will want to know the answers to. As always, the best thing to do is check with the professional performing the facelift before deciding to go ahead with it.
In general, the procedure duration is around an hour and the results should last between 6 and 12 months. You should be fully recovered within 48 hours, although it can vary for individuals.
If you would like to know more about this type of non-surgical procedure, then get in touch with First Clinical today. Our professional team will be able to assist in discussing your individual requirements – see how we can help you stay looking great!

Lip filler dos and don’ts!

Lip fillers have become exceptionally popular over the last few years, as people go in search of a luscious, plump pout.

Of course, Kylie Jenner’s transformation springs to mind, but there are many other celebrities that admit to having a little bit of enhancement. This includes the likes of former The Hills star Heidi Montag, Lisa Rinna, pop princess Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Hudson, and superstar Lady Gaga.

If you are considering celebrity lip fillers, here are some dos and don’ts:

DO use an extra pillow when you go to bed. A little elevation the night of your treatment will help to prevent swelling.
DON’T expect your lip enhancements to last forever. To maintain results you are happy with, it is advisable to have lip filler treatment once every six to nine months.
DO have an idea of what you want. It can be helpful if you bring in pictures of the look you want to achieve.
DON’T be scared if your lips end up a little bit bruised and swollen. Your lips are a delicate, vascular area, and so sometimes it can be impossible to avoid swelling and bruising.
DO be realistic with your expectations. A lot of people expect to have Kylie Jenner lips after their first treatment. However, her lips are as they are because the injections were spaced apart. You should not expect such drastic results with one treatment.
DON’T massage your lips after the treatment. If you do this, you may end up inadvertently reducing the volume achieved by squishing the dermal filler too flat.
DO let your clinician know if you have suffered from facial cold sores. They may be able to prescribe medication to minimise the recurrence.
DON’T use non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or aspirin, nor should you use a high dose of vitamin E supplements before your treatment. This will increase your risk of bleeding and bruising, as medication like this can cause the blood to thin.
DO ice afterwards. It is a good idea to ice your lips once you have had the treatment. This will help considerably with the swelling.
So there you have it; follow the tips above and enjoy the new, confident, luscious you! Get in touch with our team at First Clinical Aesthetics to find out more today about lip fillers.

What is non surgical vaginal rejuvenation?

Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation is becoming one of the most popular cosmetic procedures for women looking to tighten and neaten the appearance of their vaginal area without intrusive surgery.

In an area so fragile, traditional surgical methods can actually cause lasting damage, and not look particularly appealing. By opting for a non surgical vaginal rejuvenation, you’re lessening your chances of irreversible complications, and will enjoy great results with a much shorter recovery period.

Below we’ve looked into what a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation is, and what it can help you achieve:

What is non surgical vaginal rejuvenation?

As with the rest of our bodies, the vaginal area will go through an ageing process which can leave it looking wrinkled over time. This process can be exacerbated by childbirth and issues around the area, leaving many women feeling uncomfortable or embarrassed about the appearance of their vagina.
The procedure, also known as a ‘labial puff’, uses non surgical injections to help volumise the area, giving it a smoother, more youthful appearance. For women suffering from the appearance of ageing in their private area, it can cause a huge loss in confidence, and interfere with important, intimate relationships in their lives. As a result, the non-surgical rejuvenation treatment can be truly life enhancing when performed by an expert doctor.

What can it help you achieve?

After an initial consultation, the treatment only takes around 30 minutes, and you’ll be able to go home straight after and carry on your regular day. The procedure will help to smooth the appearance wrinkles and plump the area, giving you more confidence in the look of your private area. You’ll see a reduction in the ageing process, and once again see a vagina you’re used to as the process of ageing appears visibly reduced.

Which celebs have had non surgical nose jobs?

Non-surgical cosmetic procedures are becoming increasingly popular,

thanks to their cheaper costs and far shorter recovery times, when compared to traditional more invasive surgeries.

This trend hasn’t been missed by celebrities either, who constantly under the spotlight, often opt for treatments to enhance their look without wanting a total transformation that will be heavily scrutinised in the media.

One of the most popular non-surgical beauty treatments is a non-surgical nose job, which uses dermal fillers to enhance the natural shape of the nose. Below, we take a look at some celebs who’ve been through this procedure who are considered some of the world’s most beautiful people!

Britney Spears

The subtlety of Britney’s nose job suggests she didn’t undergo a full rhinoplasty procedure, but had the tip of her nose thinned out using non-surgical methods. A common reason people opt for non-surgical nose jobs is that is doesn’t greatly alter the look of the person’s face, as is the case with Britney – she kept her natural beauty whilst enhancing the symmetry of her face with nose reshaping.

Blake Lively

Whilst Blake has never confirmed she’s undergone a rhinoplasty, the bridge of her nose has looked distinctly slimmer in recent years, adding to her already naturally stunning looks.

Holly Hagan

Holly, a former Geordie Shore star, is a huge advocate of the non-surgical procedure after she updated her facial aesthetic, without having to go under the knife like her pal and former show mate Charlotte Crosby. Holly documented her nose job on her Instagram account, showing her fans how quick and easy it was to smooth out the bump in her nose! She particularly enjoyed the quick turnaround of the procedure, claiming it took only five minutes to update her look.

Nicole Kidman

Rumours have surfaced for many years, that Nicole Kidman has undergone a cosmetic procedure to define the shape of her nose. From her early photos Nicole appears to have a beautiful looking facial shape, including a straight nose, but with a slight change to her appearance, it seems as though she could’ve undergone the procedure too.

If you’re considering a non-surgical nose job, and want to know more about how the treatment can produce the results you’re looking for, then contact first Clinical Aesthetics today.

Tips and treatments for excessive sweating

Many women suffer from embarrassing excess sweating, which is known as hyperhidrosis.

This medical condition can seriously affect your mental health and wellbeing, having a huge negative impact upon your life.

So, what can you do about it? Below we share some tips on how to deal with this condition, as well as the option of having anti sweating injections.

Excessive sweating treatment

Many women are completely unaware that there is a treatment available to stop excess sweating. This involves the Botulinum toxin for excess sweating, which is non invasive. This treatment is safe, fast acting, and has no long term complications.

How do anti sweating injections work?

The Botulinum toxin is injected only into the affected area. So, in most cases this will be the axilla (armpit). This treatment is incredibly safe and works by simply blocking the nerve pathways that connect to the sweat gland. This in turn prevents the sweat gland from making sweat.

The safe treatment option

This excessive sweating treatment option is very safe as it is non invasive. But, it is vital that a consultation is carried out before any treatment plan. It is also a good idea to visit your GP before this treatment, to rule out any other associated medical conditions that could be problematic.

Tips on managing excessive sweating

There are a number of things that you can do to help lessen your sweating while you wait for your appointment. What can you achieve through a non-surgical face lift?

Non-surgical cosmetic procedures are quickly growing in popularity,

in part thanks to the greatly reduced pain caused by the procedure and the much-shortened recovery time.

When it comes to facial procedures there are several non-surgical treatments available that can help you achieve smoothed lines, and healthier, more youthful-looking skin. Below we’ve listed out some of the most popular non-surgical facial treatments currently available.

Anti Wrinkle injections

Anti Wrinkle injections has long been a popular non-surgical facial treatment, which involves injecting fillers into different areas of the face which are prone to lines caused by ageing. The injection causes the muscle to relax which helps to effectively treat the fine lines between your forehead creases, eyebrows, and crow’s feet around the eyes. Results usually last 3-4 months, so regular treatments are necessary to maintain the smoothed appearance you’re trying to achieve.

PDO Thread Lifts

Thread Lifts Combats the signs of ageing in the lower face & neck. Threads are implanted into the sub-dermal skin and stimulate the production of collagen and the skin becomes firmer, elastic and moisturised. Thread is made of PDO (Polydioxanone), it is a thread with no cones, thus no damage to the tissue. This is the same thread used in Cardiac and other surgeries as sutures, and thus it is very safe.
The procedure takes approximately one hour (depending on the number of threads used. In most cases and you can go home directly afterwards.
Once the thread are in place, your body starts to produce new bundles of collagen around each thread and this in turn creates a subtle yet effective lift.
